The Bacillus and other soil bacteria strains are selected specifically for their beneficial effect on soil structure and fertility, while the Trichoderma strains are harmful to a number of the fungi responsible for plant disease, giving Bactrex a genuine protective role rather than just a nutritional one. The bacteria are carried in soluble yucca extract with organic catalysts to help them colonise the root zone quickly once applied.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBecause Bactrex is a living product, the mixed solution needs to be used within six hours of dissolving it in water rather than stored for later use.
