The Grow Gadgets Hobby pH Pen is a simple, no-fuss meter for checking the pH of your nutrient mix before it goes anywhere near your plants. Entry-level it may be, but it still holds to 0.1 accuracy - close enough to catch the swings that cause real problems in soil, coco and hydro reservoirs alike. Dip, read, adjust, and you feed with confidence instead of hoping the mix is in range.
Yellowing leaves and nutrients that never seem to land?
When pH drifts outside the band your plants can use, nutrients lock out in the growing medium even when the reservoir is mixed correctly, causing yellowing, poor uptake and stalled growth that's easily mistaken for a feed problem. A quick check with the pen before every feed keeps the mix in range and stops lockout before it starts.
How to Use
- Dip the probe into your nutrient solution and swirl gently
- Read once the display settles, then adjust pH up or down as needed
- Check after mixing nutrients and again just before you feed
- Rinse the probe between uses and store it clean
