Description
Terpene-powered defence against botrytis and powdery mildew
Plant Vitality BPM is a foliar treatment built around plant terpenes - the essential oils and plant extracts that crops naturally produce to fend off pathogens. These unsaturated hydrocarbons carry well-documented bactericidal and anti-fungal properties, giving BPM a plant-derived way to tackle botrytis (grey mould) and powdery mildew without harsh synthetic fungicides. It is non-toxic to beneficial insects, mites and bees, so it fits neatly into an organic-leaning disease programme.
Key Benefits
- Terpene-based actives derived from organic essential oils and plant extracts with natural anti-fungal and bactericidal action.
- Targets botrytis and powdery mildew specifically, the two mould problems that most often wreck a canopy near harvest.
- Kind to beneficials - non-toxic to predatory insects, mites and bees, so it works alongside biological controls.
- Applied as a foliar spray to coat leaf and stem surfaces and form a protective barrier.
- Organic-derived chemistry that suits growers wanting to avoid conventional synthetic fungicides.
Grey mould or powdery mildew spreading through a humid canopy?
Warm, humid, poorly ventilated canopies are exactly where botrytis and powdery mildew take hold, and once established they spread fast and put whole crops at risk in the final weeks. BPM coats vulnerable growth to help stop spores establishing and colonising, working best as a routine preventative rather than a last-minute rescue.
How to Use
- Prevention: mix 10ml per litre of water and apply as a foliar spray once a week.
- Active treatment: mix 15ml per litre and apply every 3 days until the problem is under control.
- Coverage: spray evenly over foliage and stems, wetting the undersides of leaves where fungal spores establish.
- Tips: shake well before use, and improve airflow and lower humidity in the canopy alongside spraying for the best results.
