A small pH swing outside the ideal band locks out iron, calcium and magnesium, showing as slow growth, yellowing leaves and weak roots despite a full-strength feed. How to Use

• Dip the probe into the nutrient solution or runoff and read all three values off the display.
• Calibrate pH roughly every 30 days using pH 4.0 and 7.0 solution; the meter prompts you when due.
• Rinse the probe in clean water after each use.
• Store with the cap on and the sponge moist, as letting the probe dry out causes drifting readings.
• Test at every feed and after topping up, not just at mix time.
