Duct silencers for quiet extraction

Extraction noise comes from three places: the fan motor itself, air rushing through the ducting, and vibration passed into the tent frame. A duct silencer tackles the middle one — it's an insulated section fitted inline between fan and ducting that absorbs the rush of air without restricting airflow.

Building a genuinely quiet setup

A silencer works best as one part of a three-step fix: run an oversized fan on a lower speed rather than a small one flat out, add acoustic ducting either side of the silencer, and soft-mount the fan and filter on rope ratchets rather than bolting them rigidly to the tent frame.
