Reverse osmosis filters for grow room water
A reverse osmosis filter strips dissolved minerals out of tap water so you start from near zero PPM and the only thing in the tank is what you chose to put there. That matters most in the hard-water half of the UK, where mains water can arrive at several hundred PPM before a drop of feed goes in, carrying calcium and magnesium you did not ask for and that sit in the way of the elements you are paying for.
Size by output per day rather than by price. The GrowMax Power Grow 500 and the Hydrologic MicRO 75, rated at 284 litres a day, suit a tent or two; the Mega Grow 1000 steps up for a bigger room, and the Maxquarium 000PPM sits between them. If your mains pressure is low the membrane will only trickle, which is what the High Flow Booster Pump Kit is for. Membranes and filter packs are consumables, so keep spares: output tails off long before a unit stops working altogether.
Not everything here is RO. The Garden Grow and Pro Grow 2000 are two-stage carbon filters that take out chlorine and sediment but leave the minerals in, which is the cheaper fix if your water is soft and chlorine is the only complaint.
