Propagation tents: a dedicated space for cuttings and mothers

A full-size grow tent is the wrong shape for a tray of cuttings or a single mother plant. Propagation tents are tall and narrow, built to stand alongside your main tent rather than replace it, so veg and flower never have to share one environment. The Green Box Propagation Tent range runs from 60cm x 40cm x 200cm up to 140cm x 50cm x 200cm, all in 600D canvas with diamond mylar lining — a step down in denier from premium brands, which is where the price saving comes from, but more than enough for daily use. The BAY6 Propagation Tent (0.6m x 0.9m x 0.6m) is the compact bench-top option, and BudBox Pro offers 75cm x 75cm in both 100cm and 160cm heights, the taller giving real headroom for a mother.

Why keep propagation separate

Cuttings want 18-hour light and high humidity; flowering wants 12 hours and much drier air. Run both in one space and the two fight each other. A separate tent also quarantines new arrivals from an established grow, which matters if you are ever fighting pests. Height is the specification to check before you buy — these tents are narrow by design, so floor area is rarely the constraint, headroom is.
