CDM Lights

CDM and CMH lighting for veg and flower

Ceramic discharge metal halide (CDM/CMH) lamps run a full, crisp spectrum closer to daylight than standard HPS, and growers use them either as a standalone flowering light in a smaller tent or alongside HPS to sharpen quality and trichome production through the last few weeks. We stock a genuinely deep 315W CDM range — the standard wattage for this lamp type.

Maxibright is the backbone of the range here: the 315W Daylight Single and Twin Lighting Systems are complete fixtures, and the Focus and Horizon reflector kits let you choose remote-ballast or connect-style setups depending on how much heat you want inside the tent. The Lumatek Aurora 315W CMH is an all-in-one fixture with the ballast built into the light body — simpler wiring, one less thing to hang. Philips supplies the 315W CMH lamp on its own if you're replacing a bulb rather than buying a full fixture.

Remote or connect, single or twin

A connect (integrated) reflector keeps the ballast attached to the light — less cabling, but more heat and weight hanging from your roof bars. A remote reflector kit separates the ballast out, so only the lamp and reflector hang above the canopy, which keeps the tent cooler and the hanging point lighter. Twin fixtures cover a wider 1.2m+ footprint from one drop point instead of running two separate lights.

Pair any CDM fixture with our ballasts and bulbs if you're mixing and matching, or see HPS lights for the higher-penetration alternative. Free UK delivery over £50, next-day available. Call 020 3488 0419 for help choosing between a single and twin fixture.
