The LUMii Solar 630W CDM DE Fixture is a complete double-ended fixture - ballast and reflector in one unit - built to run a 630W ceramic discharge metal halide (CDM/CMH) lamp. CDM lamps give a broad, balanced spectrum far closer to natural daylight than HPS, and are typically 10-20% more efficient than traditional quartz metal halide. The lamp is not included, so you choose the spectrum: the 4200K GRO lamp for vegetative growth or the warmer 3200K PRO lamp for veg and flowering.

Stretching Plants and Poor Colour Under HPS?

HPS light is heavy in orange and red. In veg that often means excessive stretch and long gaps between nodes, and it hides true leaf colour, so deficiencies are easy to miss. A CMH lamp's balanced spectrum keeps vegetative growth tight and sturdy and lets you see plants in natural colour, while still driving strong growth through flowering with the PRO lamp.

How to Use

• Hang it level above the canopy on rope ratchets, leaving space around the ballast for air.
• Fit the lamp with the power off: a 630W double-ended CDM lamp, held by its ends with clean gloves - never touch the glass.
• Set the height high to start and lower gradually, watching the top of the canopy for heat stress or bleaching.
• Switch it through a timer or contactor rated for the load.
