Grow room air conditioning for sealed rooms

Grow room air conditioning does a job extraction cannot: it cools and dehumidifies the air already in the room instead of throwing it outside and pulling more in. That matters in a sealed room, where you hold temperature and humidity against the heat of the lights without venting, and in a heatwave, when the air you would draw in is already warmer than your target. The range here is OptiClimate, which builds climate units for grow rooms rather than adapting a domestic split unit.

The real choice is water-cooled against air-cooled. The Pro 3 and Revomax II are water-cooled: heat leaves through a water loop, so nothing hot goes out of a duct and the room stays quiet outside. The PRO3 Split and Split EX put the condenser outdoors like a conventional split system, which is simpler to install but needs somewhere to put the outdoor half. The PRO4 15000 adds inverter control, so the compressor modulates rather than cycling on and off. If the loop is the bottleneck rather than the unit, the Water Cooler is a closed-loop chiller to sit behind it.

An install needs more than the box, and the parts are listed here: plenums, an air distribution tube, a condensate lift pump, the connection set, and a 3-way valve if one unit serves two rooms.
