Fixings and hangers for lights, filters and fans
Everything that hangs in a tent — light, filter, fan — needs rated hardware, not garden twine. Rope ratchet hangers (£7.95 a pair) are the standard: pull to raise, release the toggle to drop, adjustable in seconds as your canopy grows, and specced for exactly this in our own grow tent setup guide. Grow Tools Ezi-Roll light hangers (£7.95) are the ratchet-free alternative if you prefer a simple pulley action.
Jubilee ducting clips (from £1.95) adjust from 30mm right up to 315mm, so one clip size covers most 100mm to 150mm ducting with room to spare, while fast clamps (from £9.95) give a tool-free seal on filter-to-fan joints. Round it out with S hooks (£3.50), jack chain (from £1.00) for fixed-height mounting, and PVC-coated steel wire (£4.95) for anything that needs a stronger permanent fixing.
Getting the chain right
Hang the filter highest, on its own ratchets, then the fan, then the light on a separate pair so you can adjust height without disturbing the extraction run. Seal every ducting joint with a clamp and a wrap of tape — see our tape range — so you're not losing filtered air at the joins.
