Circulation fans for grow tents
An extractor fan changes the air in the tent; a circulation fan moves it around inside. Gentle air across the canopy strengthens stems, breaks up the warm, damp pockets that sit under the leaves and evens out the temperature from top to bottom. Every tent needs both.
For a small tent, a clip fan on the frame pole does the job. The Growth Technology 6", Cyclone 7", Maxifan 20cm and Secret Jardin Monkey Fan are the budget choices; the VIVOSUN AeroWave and AC Infinity CLOUDRAY, in 6" and 9", add a smoother oscillation and quieter motors. How many, and where
One clip fan is usually enough for a tent up to about 1.2m square. A 1.2m x 2.4m tent wants two, at different heights, or one larger wall fan. Aim them so the leaves ripple rather than flatten, and keep one moving air across the top of the canopy, where heat from the light collects.
