Humidifiers, dehumidifiers and humidity controllers
Plants want different humidity at different stages. Our grow tent humidity guide works to roughly 70% RH for cuttings and seedlings, 60% in veg, 50% in early flower and 40% towards the end. Too dry and cuttings wilt; too damp in flower and mould takes hold. Extraction alone rarely holds those numbers through a UK winter and summer, which is where this kit comes in.
Humidifiers: the RAM 5L, Pure Factory 8L and Garden HighPro HumiPro suit a single tent; the VIVOSUN AeroStream, AC Infinity CLOUDFORGE, Aqualine and G.A.S SonicAir ranges step up to larger tanks and stronger output, and the Gorilla 50L and SonicAir Pro are built for rooms. Dehumidifiers: Dry Bag and Dry Pot for small spaces with no power; the RAM 20L, Aqualine, Gorilla 26L, VIVOSUN AeroDrain D12 and AC Infinity Hydrone for tents; the Ora 60L, AlorAir, Quest and Climate Master units for rooms. Choosing the right unit
Dehumidifiers are rated in litres pulled out per day, so size to the room and how many plants are in it, not just the tent. Humidifiers are rated by tank size and mist output; a bigger tank means fewer refills. Whichever you run, put it on a humidistat or VPD controller so it works to a target instead of flat out.
