Give Your Controller a Real Humidity Reading

The Dimlux Humidity Sensor works with the Dimlux Maxi Controller, measuring the relative humidity of the growing space and feeding it back to the controller's onboard computer so the system can respond automatically. Two cable lengths are stocked, 5 metres and 10 metres. The shorter lead suits a tent or a small room where the controller sits close by, while the 10 metre version lets you place the sensor properly in a larger space with the controller mounted well away from the canopy.

Guessing Humidity Is a Losing Game

Humidity swings hard across a lights-on cycle, and a cheap dial gauge on the wall tells you almost nothing about the air sitting in the canopy. Too high and you are inviting mould into dense growth; too low and stomata close and growth simply stops. A sensor wired into the controller means the room reacts as the numbers move, rather than when you next walk in and look.

How to Use

• Isolate the controller before plugging the sensor in.
• Connect the sensor lead to the humidity input on the Maxi Controller.
• Mount the probe at canopy height, out of direct light and away from any air outlet.
• Keep the cable clear of ballasts and mains leads to avoid interference.
• Set your target humidity on the controller and check readings against a separate hygrometer.
