Reflective Sheeting

Reflective sheeting to line grow rooms and bounce more light

Lining a room or converted cupboard with reflective sheeting turns wasted wall space into usable light, bouncing what would otherwise hit a dark wall back onto the canopy. Lightite Blackout Diamond Reflective Sheeting (from £15.95) is the step up from flat mylar: the diamond pattern scatters light more evenly than a flat mirror finish, which cuts down on hot spots directly under the fixture. Black/White Sheeting (from £8.95) is the budget option, white-faced for reflectivity with a black backing that blocks light leaks through to the room outside.

Sealing the room properly

Reflective sheeting only does its job if the room is actually sealed. Floor Secure Sheeting (250mu, from £39.95) protects flooring from spills and doubles as a vapour barrier; heavy duty peel and stick zipper (from £8.95) lets you build an access point into DIY sheeting the same way a tent's built-in zip works. Reinforced metal weave tape (£9.95) and heat resistant silver duct tape (£5.95) join sheets and patch tears, worth keeping a roll of each on hand since a stray staple or hook usually causes the first one.

Building a room from scratch rather than using a tent? See our grow tent setup guide for the order to build things in, or browse BudBox Pro and BAY6 tents if a pre-built option is simpler than lining a room yourself. Free UK delivery over £50.
