Lightite Total Blackout Sheeting is a heavy reflective polythene sheet with a white face on both sides and a fully opaque black core sandwiched between them, made for lining grow rooms and tents and partitioning grow spaces. A stray crack of light through a partition wall or under a door is more than a nuisance in a flowering room on a strict dark cycle - it can trigger hermaphrodite tendencies and uneven flowering. With a totally light-tight core and reflective white outer faces, this sheeting removes that risk while bouncing usable light back onto the plants instead of losing it into a wall or ceiling void.

Light leaks causing hermies and uneven flowering?

Any light hitting flowering plants during the dark period can stall bud development or send plants hermaphrodite, and a leaky partition or window is the cause growers most often overlook. Running blackout sheeting across dividing walls, doorframes and windows removes that risk entirely, while the reflective white face lifts light levels reaching the lower canopy.

How to Use

• Cut to size with scissors or a sharp blade, allowing a little overlap at joins
• Fix to stud walls, battens or tent frames with a staple gun, gaffer or duct tape
• Face the reflective white side toward the plants; black core toward the dark side
• Overlap seams by a few centimetres and tape joins to stay fully light-tight
• Wipe down periodically to clear dust and condensation
