A tray under every pot keeps runoff contained and your tent floor from turning into a swamp after a heavy feed. Our Garland work trays (from £7.95) are tough black plastic, sized to hold multiple pots rather than a single plant, and double as a flood tray if you're hand-watering to saturation and letting excess drain away.

Buying advice

Match tray size to how many pots you're running rather than buying one per plant — a single larger tray under four or six pots is usually more practical than several small ones.
