HPS lights for serious flowering
High pressure sodium has been the standard for flowering yield for decades, and it's still hard to beat on penetration into a dense canopy — the orange-heavy spectrum pushes bud weight even in tents with several plants competing for light. We stock complete HPS kits built around 600W, the workhorse size for a 1.2m x 1.2m tent.
The Omega Black 600W Dimmable Kit pairs a digital dimmable ballast with reflector and bulb in one box; the Omega Pro-V 600W Mechanical Kit is the simpler magnetic version, cheaper but without the dimming option.
HPS or CDM?
HPS wins on raw penetration and upfront cost — a good reason it's still the default for growers scaling up plant count over lighting spend. If you want a crisper, more full-spectrum output for quality in the last weeks of flower, our CDM lights are worth a look instead. Either way, keep a spare bulb in stock, and see our ballasts and reflectors if you want to build a fixture to a different spec than the kits here.
