1,200 Watts and 2,470 µmol/s From an Air-Cooled Double-Ended Fixture

The Dimlux Expert Series NanoTube overdrives a 1000W / 400V double-ended lamp by 20% rather than 10%, peaking at 1,200W and 2,470 µmol/s. That needs active cooling: the Alpha Optics 98 NanoTube reflector encloses the lamp in nano-coated anti-reflective glass at 99% light transmission, for 97% reflector efficiency. Expect yields approaching 10% above the standard Dimlux fixture, from a 67.5 x 27.5 x 13 cm unit covering 1.5 x 1.5 m.

Heat, Not Wattage, Is What Caps HPS Yields

Push a double-ended lamp hard in a sealed room and the heat returns as leaf surface temperature, excessive stretch and a fixture hung further away, wasting the intensity you paid for. Drawing air through the NanoTube keeps that heat out and the lamp in its ideal band, so the boost runs close to the canopy.

How to Use

• Fit a 1000W 400V EL UHF double-ended lamp – boost is only safe when actively cooled
• Duct the cooling: extraction onto the 2 x 50mm sockets at up to 200 m³/h, running whenever the lamp is lit
• Plug into 230V – with a Maxi Controller, no relay, contactor or timer is needed
• Start dimmed at 600-800W over young plants, stepping up as they fill in
• Relamp when the EOL indicator triggers, to hold µmol output
