Extractor fans for grow tents
Your extractor fan sizes the whole extraction chain — undersize it and you get heat spikes, damp, mould-friendly humidity and smell leaks; oversize it slightly and run it on low, and it's quieter, cooler and lasts longer. As a rough guide, size for your tent's volume in m³ times 60 air changes an hour, then add 25% for the resistance a filter and ducting add.

Getting the size right
Round up between sizes rather than down — a 6" fan on half speed beats a 5" fan flat out, every time, on noise and headroom for hot weeks.
