The GB Silent-Max Fan V2 from Greenbox is a silenced inline extractor fan for grow rooms and large tents. The motor and impeller sit inside an insulated outer casing lined with a thick layer of acoustic foam, which soaks up motor hum and air noise before it reaches the room. A built-in twin speed controller lets you run it on low for quiet background extraction or high when temperatures climb, with up to 3000 m³/h from the 250mm model and 3100 m³/h from the 315mm.

Heat, Humidity and Noise

Big rooms and high-wattage lighting need a lot of air changes to hold temperature and humidity, and an undersized or noisy fan forces a compromise between plant health and peace and quiet. Poor extraction leaves stale, humid air sitting in the canopy, which slows growth and invites mould and mildew. A large silenced fan moves the volume the room needs while keeping the sound to a low hum.

How to Use

• Match the fan to your ducting and carbon filter: 250mm (10") or 315mm (12") spigots.
• Hang it from the lifting eyes with straps or chains to reduce vibration, and keep duct runs short with gentle bends.
• Pull air through the carbon filter (filter on the inlet side) for odour control.
• Use Low for lights-off or quiet periods and High when heat builds; add a fan speed or climate controller for automatic control.
