Description
A Simple Boost Where Airflow Has Dropped Off
The Vortex Booster Fan is a compact axial in-duct fan that sits inline in a run of ducting to give airflow a lift where it has dropped off – typically at the end of a long duct run, through a passive intake, or wherever a full-size extraction fan is more than the job needs.
Key Benefits
- Compact axial design: fits directly inside standard ducting with no extra bracketry
- Quick to fit: slides into the ducting run and connects like a standard coupling
- Boosts weak airflow: useful on long runs or passive intakes losing pressure
- Lightweight housing: easy to support mid-run without extra strain on the ducting
Airflow drops off the further it has to travel, and a long duct run, several bends, or a passive intake can leave a room short of the fresh air it needs even with a capable extraction fan doing the main work. A small inline booster fitted partway along the run gives the air the push it needs without replacing the main fan.
How to Use
Fit the booster fan inline within the duct run, matching the airflow arrow to the intended direction, and support the ducting either side so the fan's weight is not carried by the duct alone. Wire to a mains supply or fan speed controller as needed.
- Type: axial inline duct booster fan
- Diameters: 4" and 6"
- Fits standard round ducting
