Premium light-proof film for lining a whole grow room
LightHouse ULTRALUX is HydroGarden's premium range of grow room sheeting, a tough LDPE/LLDPE film that is 100% light-proof, UV stable and washable. These are the full 100m commercial rolls for lining grow rooms, building partition walls and covering large areas without joins every few metres: the Silver Black and Silver Diffuse rolls are 1.22m wide, the Flat White White and Flat Black White rolls 2m wide. Four finishes are offered:
- Flat White White - double-sided matt white film. It diffuses light rather than mirroring it and disperses heat better than silver alloy sheeting, and because both faces are white it is ideal for dividing walls between rooms or propagation areas.
- Flat Black White - the same matt white face, which spreads light widely and disperses heat better than silver alloy sheeting, backed in black for full blackout; made for lining the perimeter walls of grow rooms and propagation areas.
- Silver Black - four-layer film with a laminated alloy face that works like a lighting reflector, and a black reverse for guaranteed blackout.
- Silver Diffuse - the same four-layer build with an embossed alloy face that breaks light up more evenly, again backed in black.
Both silver finishes are PET coated to protect the alloy against corrosion and wear.

Hot Spots and Dark Corners
Bare walls soak up light, so plants at the edge of a room grow slower and stretch towards the lamps while those underneath can scorch. Lining the room with reflective film sends that light back onto the canopy for more even growth from wall to wall, and a light-tight lining stops light leaking in during the dark period.
How to Use
- Clean and dry the walls, then fix the film with battens, staples or tape, pulling it taut to avoid creases.
- Face the white or silver side towards the plants and the black side (on Flat Black White, Silver Black and Silver Diffuse) towards the wall.
- Use Flat White White where both faces will be seen, such as a partition between two growing or propagation areas.
- Overlap joins and seal them with reflective tape to keep the room light-tight.
- Wipe down with a damp cloth between crops.

Which ULTRALUX finish should I choose?
Silver Black has the narrowest, most mirror-like reflection and Silver Diffuse spreads light more evenly from its embossed face. The matt white finishes spread light widest and disperse heat better than silver alloy, which helps in warm rooms; choose Flat White White for partitions seen from both sides and Flat Black White for perimeter walls, where the black reverse faces the wall.
Which side faces the plants?
The white or silver face goes towards the plants. On Flat Black White, Silver Black and Silver Diffuse the black side faces the wall and provides the blackout.
How wide are the rolls?
