Description
Extra-wide black and white film to line big spaces in one piece
Grofilm Black and White Sheeting in the commercial 8m x 25m format covers 200 m² in a single run at a heavier 125 micron gauge. Often called panda film, it has a white reflective face that bounces light back onto the crop and a black face that stops light getting in or out. The 8m width lets you line a large grow room, loft or greenhouse, or black out a glasshouse roof, with far fewer joins than standard 2m rolls – and every seam you do not make is one less place for a light leak. Bare walls soak up light that should be reaching the canopy, and gaps around doors and windows let light in during the dark period, which stresses plants and upsets flowering; a black and white lining deals with both.
Key Benefits
- 8m width – wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling runs with fewer taped seams.
- 125 micron gauge – thicker than the common 85 micron film for better tear resistance and light-proofing.
- White side in, black side out – reflects wasted light back to the plants and keeps the dark period dark.
- Wipe-clean polythene – waterproof, protects walls and floors from spills and cleans down between crops.
- Versatile – room dividers, window blackout, tank covers and ground cover as well as full room linings.
How to Use
- Measure first and unroll on a clean floor, allowing extra at every edge for fixing.
- Cut with sharp scissors or a utility knife.
- Fix white side towards the plants with staples, battens, clips or strong tape.
- Overlap joins by several centimetres and tape the seams with weave or duct tape so the lining stays light-tight.
- Wipe down between grows to keep the white face bright and mould-free.
