Description
Steady Grow Room Humidity Without Refilling a Tank
The RAM Wall Humidifier is an ultrasonic humidifier that mounts on the wall of a grow room and runs straight off the mains water supply, so there is no reservoir to top up and it is always ready to add moisture. A ceramic diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency breaks the water into a fine, cool mist, giving up to 1600ml per hour from 120W, and a simple dial humidistat on the front holds the room at the level you set or runs continuously. Wall mounting keeps it off the floor and clear of pots, trays and walkways. Choose it on its own, or as a kit with the Inline DI Resin Water Filter, which strips dissolved minerals out of hard water before they reach the humidifier.
What's Included
- RAM Wall Humidifier – with the fittings for a mains water connection (both options)
- Inline DI Resin Water Filter – deionising cartridge with Purolite resin fitted (With Inline DI Water Filter option only)
Key Benefits
- Up to 1600ml/h of mist – adjustable output to raise humidity in a large tent or grow room
- Mains water connection – a continuous supply and no refills; all fittings included
- Dial humidistat – set the humidity you want and the unit holds it, or run it on continuous mist
- Wall mounted – frees up floor space in the growing area
- Cool ultrasonic mist – adds moisture without adding heat to the room
- DI filter option – the resin turns from blue to gold when spent, protecting the humidifier in hard water areas
Is Dry Air Slowing Your Plants Down?
Grow lights, extraction and heating all strip moisture out of a grow room, most of all in winter and under powerful lighting. When humidity drops too low, plants close their stomata to save water, transpiration and nutrient uptake slow, and cuttings and young plants dry out and stall. A humidifier that tops the air back up automatically keeps the room in range day and night and lets you match humidity to the stage of growth: higher for propagation and vegetative growth, lower once flowering is under way.
How to Use
- Mount it on a wall where the mist can disperse into the room before settling, clear of lights and electrical fittings
- Connect the water to a mains supply with the fittings provided; with the kit, fit the DI filter inline between the supply and the humidifier, following the flow arrow on the housing
- Plug in and set the dial to your target humidity, or to continuous mist
- Move the air with an oscillating fan so the mist spreads evenly instead of collecting near the unit
- Hard water areas: fit the DI filter to keep scale off the transducer and white mineral dust off leaves, and refill the resin once it has turned from blue to gold
- Check the room with a hygrometer at canopy height to confirm the setting

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the water filter?
In a hard water area, yes – HydroGarden recommends it to protect the humidifier's life, because an ultrasonic unit turns any dissolved minerals into mist along with the water. In a soft water area the humidifier can run on its own.
Does it need a water tank?
No. It connects to the mains water supply with the fittings provided, so it never needs refilling.
Will it make the grow room warmer?
No. Ultrasonic humidifiers produce a cool mist, so humidity goes up without adding heat.
How do I know when the filter resin is used up?
The resin changes colour from blue to gold as it is exhausted. Empty the housing and refill it with fresh DI resin – the housing itself is reused.
