The Inline DI Resin Water Filter is a deionising cartridge that fits into the mains water feed of a humidifier and strips out the dissolved minerals that cause scale and white dust. It is made for use with the RAM Wall Humidifier and suits any mains-fed humidifier or mist maker that would suffer from poor or hard water. The resin is supplied in the cartridge and changes colour from blue to gold when it is used up, so you can see at a glance when it needs refilling.

Hard Water and Ultrasonic Humidifiers

An ultrasonic humidifier turns everything in the water into mist, minerals included. In a hard water area that means a fine white film on foliage and equipment, scale on the transducer and a humidifier that loses output and wears out early - just when the grow room needs steady humidity control. Taking the minerals out before the water reaches the unit prevents all three.

How to Use

• Fit inline in the water supply line between the mains feed and the humidifier inlet, following the flow direction marked on the housing
• Mount it upright or level using the clips, where you can see the resin
• Check the colour: when the resin has turned from blue to gold, empty the housing and refill with fresh DI resin
• Hard water areas: expect to refill more often
