Description
Overhead humidity control that keeps your floor space free
The Quest 70 is a professional dehumidifier built for sealed rooms and tight spaces, and it is the 50 Hz international model — 230V, so it runs on a normal UK supply with no transformer. It mounts overhead or stands on the floor, and at 25 kg in a 53.3 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm body it takes up far less room than its output suggests. ⚑ Its water-removal figure is quoted at 26.7°C and 60% RH — realistic room conditions, not the 32°C / 80% RH that flatters most competitors' numbers.
Key Benefits
- 26 litres a day at 26.7°C and 60% RH
- 2.22 litres per kWh — among the lowest running costs in its class
- Only 2.1 amps and 480 watts, so it frees up electricity for other equipment
- MERV 13 filtration captures dust, pollen and mould spores as it dries the air
- Overhead or ground placement — hanging kit available separately
- Onboard dehumidistat plus a low voltage terminal block for external control
- Auto restart returns to your previous settings after a power cut
- 7 metre power cord for reach without an extension lead
Air that will not dry out, in a room with no space to spare
In a sealed room, every litre your plants drink is transpired straight back into the air. Once relative humidity climbs and stays there you get condensation on cold surfaces, mould on damp material and a root zone that stops drawing water because the air will not take any more. The Quest 70 holds humidity at a set point instead of chasing it, and because it works across a 5°C to 35°C range it keeps doing so when the room runs cold at night or hot under lights.
How to Use
- Stand it on the floor or hang it overhead — both are supported; the hanging kit is a separate accessory
- Plug it in. No installation, no commissioning
- Set your target humidity on the onboard dehumidistat, or drive it from an external controller through the terminal block
- Run a drain line from the 1.9 cm threaded outlet, and ⚑ fit a P-trap — this model needs one
- Duct the intake and exhaust with the duct kit if you need to move air to a specific part of the room
- ⚑ Change the MERV 13 filter every cycle. Most faults on these units trace back to a blocked filter, not the machine
