Automate a mini-split air conditioner straight from Hydro-X

The TrolMaster ARS-1 AC Remote Station lets a Hydro-X controller take full command of a compatible mini-split air conditioner. It learns the infrared (IR) signals from the AC's own remote, then sends day and night commands automatically based on the system's photocell - so climate control no longer depends on anyone adjusting the AC by hand. Setup is plug-and-play over RJ12, with an LCD display and MicroSD firmware updates.

Maintaining stable temperatures is one of the hardest parts of indoor growing: lights add heat during the day and rooms cool through the dark cycle. Manually switching a mini-split is easy to forget or get wrong, and the resulting temperature swings slow vegetative growth, disrupt nutrient uptake and stress plants in flower. Once the ARS-1 has learned the AC's commands, Hydro-X switches setpoints automatically as the photocell detects lights on or off, holding your range for stronger roots, better flowering and improved yield.

How to Use

1. Connect the ARS-1 to the Hydro-X controller using the supplied RJ12 cable.
2. Position the IR emitter so it faces the indoor mini-split unit.
3. Use the ARS-1 to learn the IR commands from the mini-split's remote.
4. Assign the ARS-1 address in the Hydro-X controller settings.
5. Set your day and night temperature setpoints in the Hydro-X system.
6. Leave it running - Hydro-X sends the right IR command automatically based on the lighting cycle.
