The OptiClimate solenoid magnetic valve is the electrically operated water valve used on water-cooled OptiClimate installations. It opens only while the unit is running, so mains or chilled water is not flowing through the heat exchanger the rest of the time.

A water-cooled room quietly running water all day
A water-cooled climate unit plumbed without a solenoid keeps flow through the exchanger whether or not it is cooling, which wastes water on a mains-fed system and makes a chiller work harder than it needs to. It also leaves the circuit pressurised around the clock.
How to Use
- Where it goes: inline on the supply side, before the unit's heat exchanger
- Wiring: to the climate unit's control output so it follows the compressor
- Orientation: fit to the flow arrow on the body - a solenoid fitted backwards will not seal
- Commissioning: check for flow only while the unit is calling for cooling
