Philips 315W CMH Lamp – Ceramic Metal Halide PGZX18

A sun-like CMH spectrum for stronger structure and better flowers

The Philips 315W CMH Lamp is one of the most trusted ceramic metal halide lamps in professional indoor growing, delivering a broad, sun-like spectrum that carries plants from vigorous veg through to productive flowering. Widely used in Maxibright 315W CDM systems and other CMH fixtures, it is prized for consistent spectral output and reliable performance, closely replicating natural sunlight to improve plant health, nutrient uptake and crop quality in hydro, coco or soil. Two spectrum options let you match the lamp to each stage of the grow.

Key Benefits

• Sun-like full spectrum for healthy, balanced plant development
• High-efficiency CMH technology with strong, consistent light output
• Promotes vigorous veg and productive flowering with tight internodal spacing
• Improves flavour, aroma and crop quality
• PGZX18 base compatible with Maxibright 315W Daylight ballasts and similar CMH fixtures
• Two spectrums: MasterColour 942 Daylight (1.7 umol/W) and GreenPower 930 Agro (1.9 umol/W)

Getting weak stems and poor flowers from an incomplete spectrum?

Lights running an incomplete spectrum often cause weak plant structure, excessive stretch and poor flower development. The Philips CMH lamp's balanced, sun-like output builds stronger stems and tighter node spacing while improving nutrient uptake, and matching the spectrum to each stage delivers denser flowers with better flavour and aroma.

How to Use

• Confirm your fixture takes 315W CMH lamps with a PGZX18 socket.
• Install the lamp without touching the glass with bare hands (oils can cause hotspots).
• Connect the system to a suitable 315W CMH ballast.
• On first use, run continuously for at least 15 minutes to stabilise the internal metals.
• Use the 942 Daylight lamp for vegetative growth and the 930 Agro lamp during flowering.
• Maintain correct canopy distance and good airflow in the tent or grow room.
