This Heavy Duty Timer is built to switch one 600W HPS light on and off automatically, holding your photoperiod to an exact daily cycle without you having to remember to flip a switch. It's a robust mechanical timer with a 24-hour dial and 15-minute switching intervals, giving reasonably fine control over your on and off times.

Worried about overloading a light timer?
Cheap timers fail fast under the inrush current of an HID ballast, and daisy-chaining more than one 600W light onto a single timer will burn out its internal switch. This timer is rated for a single 600W ballast; for multiple lights, drive them through a suitable contactor such as the Eco Technics 2 Way Power Star Contactor or Eco Technics 4 Way Power Star Contactor and use the timer only to switch the contactor.
How to Use
- Set the current time on the dial
- Push in the pins or tabs to mark the periods you want the light on
- Plug your light into the timer and the timer into the wall socket
- Do not run more than one 600W ballast directly off the timer; use a contactor for multiple lights
