Description
A Compact CMH Fixture With Boost, Dimming and a 98% Reflector
The Dimlux Expert Series 315W Full Spectrum is a complete ceramic metal halide (CMH) grow light: Dimlux Xtreme 315W digital ballast, Dimlux 315W Full Spectrum CMH lamp and the Ultra Optics / Alpha Optics 98 reflector, supplied together as one fixture. Run it at 315W for a tent of around a square metre, or boost it to 380W for up to 706 µmol/s of light, with a broad spectrum that carries plants from vegetative growth through flowering on one lamp.
Key Benefits
- Boost to 380W – 706 µmol/s system PPF from a 315W-class fixture
- Eight manual power positions – Soft-Off, 165W, 205W, 245W, 280W, 315W, 345W and 380W
- 98% efficient reflector – Single Bounce Clear Sight design with Miro Silver mirrors, plus adjustable side reflectors
- Cooler lamp, cooler room – open reflector passively cools the lamp, and a 50mm spigot lets you extract warm air directly
- Maxi Controller ready – soft-start, soft-dim and end-of-life lamp warning, controllable by a Dimlux Maxi Controller via the included 2m interlink cable
Too Much Heat, Not Enough Spectrum?
Small tents run with HPS often fight heat and excessive stretch, and a sodium lamp alone leaves little blue light for tight vegetative growth. A 315W CMH lamp gives a fuller, more natural spectrum at a fraction of the heat of a 600W HPS, and the dimming range means the same fixture can be turned down for young plants and boosted when the canopy fills out.
How to Use
- Hang the fixture level above the canopy; start higher for seedlings and cuttings and lower as plants establish
- Choose a power position on the ballast, or connect a Dimlux Maxi Controller for scheduling, sunrise/sunset and temperature-led dimming
- On first use, run the new lamp continuously for at least 15 minutes so it beds in correctly
- Optionally duct the 50mm reflector spigot to your extraction to pull warm air away from the lamp
