The 315W Horizon Remote CDM Lighting Kit pairs the Maxibright Horizon Connect wide-angle reflector with a remote 315W Maxibright Daylight CDM ballast and a Philips Elite 942 Veg 315W CDM lamp to throw light outward across the canopy instead of piling it directly under the fixture. That wide spread mimics natural daylight and solves the classic problem of bright tops and shaded, underlit lower growth. The remote ballast sits outside the tent to keep heat away from the plants, and the broad ceramic metal halide spectrum carries genuine UVA and UVB for stronger structure and denser buds.

Underlit lower growth and stretched plants?

Most indoor setups suffer from uneven canopy lighting where top leaves grab the light and lower branches sit in shade, causing excessive stretch and weak flowering underneath. The Horizon reflector fixes this by casting light over a wider area and from side angles, encouraging a fuller structure with more flowering sites, while the added UVA and UVB support tighter internodes and improved bud density.

How to Use

1. Fit the Elite 315W CDM lamp securely into the Horizon reflector socket.
2. Hang the reflector above the canopy using adjustable hangers.
3. Place the Maxibright Daylight ballast outside the tent or grow room where possible to reduce heat.
4. Connect the reflector to the ballast with the supplied leads and plug into a suitable supply.
5. On first use, run the lamp continuously for at least 15 minutes so the internal metals fuse correctly.
6. Position the reflector roughly 400mm above the canopy and raise it as plants grow.
