The 315W Focus Remote CDM Lighting Kit is a high-output ceramic metal halide (CMH/CDM) system that pairs the Maxibright Focus reflector, a 315W Maxibright Daylight CDM ballast and a Philips 315W CDM lamp (942 or 930) to deliver a broad, sun-like spectrum including UVA and UVB. Its remote ballast design keeps the ballast off the reflector so it can sit outside the grow tent or room, pulling heat away from the canopy. The focused reflector concentrates usable light over a 0.8m x 0.8m to 1m x 1m area, making it a strong primary light for smaller tents or supplemental light in larger rooms.

Fighting heat and uneven light in a small grow space?

Compact tents suffer from heat build-up around the canopy and uneven light distribution, which drive stretch and weak, patchy growth. Moving the ballast outside the space removes a major heat source, while the Focus reflector concentrates light onto the canopy so plants build stronger, more even flowering sites and higher-quality yields.

How to Use

1. Mount the Focus reflector securely above the canopy using adjustable hangers.
2. Position the 315W ballast outside the tent or room where possible to minimise heat near plants.
3. Fit the Philips 315W CDM lamp into the reflector socket.
4. Connect the reflector to the ballast with the supplied leads, then plug into a suitable power supply.
5. On first use, run the lamp continuously for at least 15 minutes to bed in the lamp metals.
6. Adjust the hanging height as plants grow to maintain the correct canopy distance.
