Clean, Low-EC Water Straight From the Tap

The Power Grow 500 produces up to 500 litres per day at up to 20 litres per hour, so there is no waiting for a tank to fill. It removes or reduces up to 95% of mineral salts, heavy metals, chloramines, nitrates, nitrites, sediments, sand, oxides, herbicides, pesticides and volatile organic pollutants such as benzene, oils, trihalomethanes, detergents and PCBs, plus up to 99% of chlorine and sediment down to 5 microns. The result is a blank canvas: low EC, stable pH, and feed that behaves as the chart says it should.

When Tap Water Is Working Against You

Hard UK mains water carries significant EC before any feed goes in, and the effects are familiar: lockout, poor nutrient uptake, weak roots and slow growth that extra feed will not fix. Chlorine and chloramine knock back beneficial biology in soil and coco. Filtering at source gives stable pH, bigger plants, stronger roots and uninhibited photosynthesis.

How to Use

• Connect to a cold water supply only, as hot water damages the filters and membrane
• Ensure inlet pressure is at least 2.75 bar / 40 psi, adding a booster pump if the supply is weak
• Do not install where pressure exceeds 5.5 bar / 80 psi, fitting a pressure regulator if needed
• Replace the RO membrane every 6 months to 2 years depending on usage and input EC
• Replace the carbon filter every 6 months, and protect the unit against frost
