The Systemair Semi-Flexible Silencer fits inline between your extractor fan and ducting to bring grow room noise down without restricting the air passing through it. Built from two layers of flexible aluminium ducting around a 25mm thick glass wool attenuation layer, it absorbs the fan's running noise rather than simply muffling it. The inner tube is micro-perforated so air keeps moving freely while sound energy is trapped in the insulation, and aluminium gable ends at each side slide straight into standard ducting for a quick fit.

A powerful inline fan is often the loudest single item in a grow space, and running it near living areas or thin walls can be enough to give the game away. Rather than stepping down to a weaker, quieter fan and losing airflow, fitting a silencer directly into the ducting run keeps extraction at full strength while taking the edge off the noise.

How to Use

• Fit the silencer directly before or after the fan, or just ahead of a carbon filter, wherever noise is loudest.
• Slide your ducting over the aluminium gable ends at each side and secure with duct clips or tape.
• Support the weight of the silencer if it sits mid-run rather than letting it hang from the ducting alone.
• Keep bends gentle — the semi-flexible body will take a corner but performs best kept reasonably straight.
