Low-Heat Omega CFL Lamps for Cuttings, Seedlings and Veg

Omega CFL Grow Bulbs are compact fluorescent grow lamps for propagation, seedlings and vegetative growth that need close, gentle light without the heat of an HID fitting. Choose Deep Blue for compact, sturdy vegetative growth or Far Red for flowering top-up and supplementary light, in 125W, 200W and 300W. Every lamp has a standard E40 (Goliath) screw base and runs straight from the mains – no ballast needed.

Scorched Seedlings and Stretching Under HID

Young plants sat too close to a hot HID lamp scorch, curl or dry out, but pulled too far back they stretch for light. A CFL's low heat output lets it hang close to cuttings and seedlings for strong, compact growth without burning tender leaves, and it costs far less to run than an HPS setup.

How to Use

• Fit the lamp into an E40 CFL lampholder or reflector and hang it 20-30cm above cuttings or young plants
• Move it closer for propagation and back a little as plants gain height
• Run an 18-24 hour light cycle through veg with a Deep Blue lamp; add a Far Red lamp for flowering top-up
• Watch for stretching, which signals the lamp needs lowering toward the canopy
