The Airfan Thermo Foam Box Fan is an inline extractor moulded into a soundproof thermo foam housing instead of a sheet-metal box, driven by a reliable AC motor on rubber anti-vibration mounts. Airfan build it for growers routing ducting through a loft, roof void or a room beside living space, where a bare metal case would transmit noise and let heat bleed into the surrounding structure.

Killing fan noise and heat loss along the duct run
A metal box fan vibrates against joists and radiates heat straight into the space it sits in, which means noise complaints, wasted energy and a stifling loft in summer. The thermo foam casing deadens vibration and insulates the motor and impeller, so far less sound and heat escapes into the structure around it.
How to Use
- Mount the fan in-line on a solid joist or bracket to further reduce vibration
- Connect ducting to both flanges with jubilee clips, exhausting out through a vent or soffit and drawing back from your tent or filter
- Wire to the mains through the junction box
- Run through a fan speed controller or thermostat for variable rather than fixed full-speed output
