The lead that connects almost everything in a grow room
This is the standard power lead that ties most indoor growing equipment back to a wall socket. One end is a moulded UK 3-pin plug fitted with a 5 amp fuse, the other a female IEC C13 connector — the same inlet used on ballasts, inline fans, CFL reflectors and a long list of other kit. At 2 metres it is long enough to reach a timer or contactor without leaving coils of slack on the floor. The 5 amp fuse rates the lead to roughly 1150W, which covers almost any single appliance running in a tent or small room.
Key Benefits
- 2 metre reach - routes neatly from a socket, timer or contactor to your equipment without an extension.
- 5 amp fused UK plug - protects both the appliance and the lead, rated to approximately 1150W.
- Female IEC C13 fitting - the standard inlet found on ballasts, extractor fans and reflectors.
- Moulded construction - no screw terminals to work loose in a warm, humid grow space.
- Universal spare - the most commonly swapped lead in a grow room, so worth keeping one in the cupboard.
Why the Right Lead Matters
Power leads are the part of a grow room nobody thinks about until one fails mid-cycle. A lead that is too short invites trailing extensions and loose joints, and one used outside its rating is a genuine hazard. Matching a correctly fused 5 amp lead to equipment that sits comfortably inside that limit keeps the installation tidy, keeps it safe, and turns a dead lead into a two-minute swap rather than a lost night.
How to Use
- Check the appliance load sits within the 5 amp, roughly 1150W limit.
- Push the IEC connector fully home into the equipment inlet.
- Plug the other end into a mains socket, timer or contactor outlet.
- Keep the cable clear of standing water and hot lamp surfaces.
- Never connect an HID lamp straight to the mains — always run it through a suitable ballast.
