Description

Wake up flat coco and soil with chitin-rich insect frass

Ecothrive Charge is a mealworm frass soil amendment that feeds the microbes in your root zone rather than just dumping mineral salts on the plant. The frass is naturally rich in chitin, which both fuels beneficial bacteria and fungi and switches on the plant's own natural defence response. With a gentle, balanced organic NPK of around 3.5-2.5-2, it works as a slow-release backbone feed in soil, coco or living substrates and is fully organic-suitable.

Key Benefits

  • Chitin-driven microbe boost: feeds soil biology and primes the plant's natural immune response
  • Balanced organic NPK around 3.5-2.5-2: steady, long-term feeding instead of a quick mineral spike
  • Builds root-zone life: turns biologically flat coco or fresh potting soil into an active, nutrient-cycling medium
  • Two ways to apply: mixed through the substrate before planting or scratched in as a top dressing mid-grow
  • 100% organic: suitable for organic and living-soil growers

Flat substrate leaving roots underfed?

Coco and many bagged soils start out biologically inert, so roots can go hungry even when the feed chart looks perfect on paper. Ecothrive Charge fixes the cause by feeding the microbes that break down and release nutrients, rather than piling more raw feed on top.

How to Use

  • Coco coir (mix in): 2-3g per litre for low fertility, 4-6g per litre for high fertility
  • Potting soil (mix in): 1-2g per litre for low fertility, 3-4g per litre for high fertility
  • Top dressing: 3-6g per 15-20 litre pot or 9-18g per 50-60 litre pot, scratched into the surface and watered in
  • Reapply: every 2-4 weeks through the grow as a top dressing
  • Timing: stop applying around 5 weeks before harvest to let reserves feed out
