Replacement screen elements for the Amiad high pressure filter, which filters to a gauge of 100 micron as standard. Screens are consumable items, and once a used element is scaled, torn or packed with sediment it either lets debris through to your emitters or chokes flow to the whole run. The range covers 1.5" elements in three grades: 155 mesh (yellow), 75 mesh (white, 200 micron) and 30 mesh (green, 500 micron), so you can match filtration to your emitter size and your water quality. Colour coding makes identification straightforward when you have several filters on a manifold. Choosing a finer screen protects small-orifice drippers, while a coarser grade keeps flow up where the water is dirty and the emitters are more forgiving. Swapping the element at the first sign of pressure drop keeps irrigation even across every pot instead of leaving one end of the room underfed and the other soaked.

How to Use

• Isolate and depressurise the line before opening the filter housing
• Remove the old element and flush any sediment out of the body
• Fit the new screen, checking the sealing surfaces are clean and seated
• Match the grade: use 155 mesh for fine drippers, 75 mesh as a general choice and 30 mesh where flow matters more than fine filtration
• Repressurise slowly and check for leaks before running a full feed
• Rinse the screen between cycles and replace it once it stays restricted
