Description
Join ducting runs without losing your seal
Male Duct Couplings are simple fittings used to join two sections of flexible ducting, or to connect ducting onto a fan, filter or vent where a male spigot is needed. Each coupling gives a solid, round surface for a jubilee clip or duct clamp to grip, so the join stays airtight. A poorly joined section is a common cause of lost negative pressure, letting warm, humid air escape into the grow space instead of out through the filter - a properly clamped coupling keeps the whole run sealed and your extraction consistent.
Key Benefits
- Secure joins between ducting lengths or onto fans and filters.
- Solid clamping surface for a proper seal with a jubilee clip or duct clamp.
- Maintains negative pressure so odours and humid air leave through the filter, not the join.
- Simple installation needing no tools beyond a clamp.
How to Use
- Slide the coupling into the end of your ducting.
- Secure it with a duct clamp or jubilee clip.
- Connect the other side to your fan, filter or the next length of ducting and clamp that too.
- Check the run is airtight along its length before running the fan.
Questions & answers
What is a male duct coupling for?
It joins two lengths of flexible ducting, or connects ducting to a fan, filter or vent where a male spigot is needed.
Which sizes do you stock?
4" (100mm), 5" (125mm), 6" (150mm), 8" (200mm), 10" (250mm) and 12" (315mm). Choose the one that matches your ducting diameter.
How do I fix it in place?
Slide the coupling into the ducting and secure it with a jubilee clip or duct clamp, then clamp the other side to the fan, filter or next length. Check the run is airtight before switching the fan on.
Why does an airtight join matter?
A loose join leaks and loses negative pressure, so warm, humid air escapes into the grow space instead of leaving through the filter.
