Cool-Running T5 Light Built for Cuttings and Seedlings

This Omega propagation light runs eight 4ft T5 tubes for a total of 432W, working out at 54W per tube across a fixture roughly 120cm long. Because T5 tubes stay cool in operation, it can sit directly on top of a propagator without cooking the plants underneath. Each tube sits in its own separate groove in the built-in reflector, shaped to optimise light crossover without wasting output, spreading an even canopy over roughly 120 x 60cm. T5 HO tubes typically sit around 1.4 umol/J. Supplied with a power lead and a cable to daisy chain up to 8 units.

Leggy Seedlings and Cuttings That Refuse to Root?

Excessive stretch is the classic sign that young plants are short of usable light. Seedlings reach, internodes open up, and cuttings sit there with weak roots and slow growth. A cool T5 canopy can be held close to the tray for strong light at leaf height with no heat stress, so plants stay short, stocky and ready to transplant on time.

How to Use

• Positioning: hang roughly 20-30cm above the canopy, or sit it straight onto a propagator lid.
• Photoperiod: run 18 hours on for propagation and vegetative growth.
• Linking: use the supplied cable to daisy chain up to 8 units in a run.
• Raising: lift as plants gain height to keep the distance even.
• Maintenance: wipe reflector and tubes regularly - dust on a grooved reflector costs output.
