Description
The service part that keeps a sealed room sealed
The OptiClimate carbon filter is the replacement odour filter for OptiClimate climate units. In a closed-loop room the climate unit handles temperature and humidity, and the carbon filter handles everything you do not want leaving the room. It is a consumable - carbon saturates and stops adsorbing long before it looks worn out.
Key Benefits
- Sized to the unit - one filter per model rather than a universal fit that leaks around the edges
- Genuine OptiClimate part - matches the housing and the airflow the unit was designed around
- Protects the heat exchanger - less dust and resin reaching the coil means less cleaning and better efficiency
- Maintains a sealed room - the point of a closed-loop install is that nothing gets out
Odour creeping back in when nothing has changed
Carbon filters fail quietly. Airflow stays the same, the fan sounds the same, and then odour appears with no obvious cause. Carbon has a finite capacity and saturates faster in a humid room, which is why OptiClimate advises a fresh filter every four weeks.
How to Use
- Replacement interval: OptiClimate advises a new filter every 4 weeks; replacements come as a set of three
- Check for: odour breakthrough rather than reduced airflow - the airflow drop comes later
- Fitting: match the filter to the unit's model number, not to duct diameter
- Care: keep humidity under control - saturated carbon is spent carbon
