Orchid Focus Bloom is a one-part liquid feed for orchids in their flowering phase, weighted towards phosphorus and potassium so the plant can carry a heavy flush of long lasting blooms. All the nitrogen is supplied as gentle nitrates - no urea, no ammonia - which matters on a plant with fine, exposed roots that burn easily. It carries all 14 essential elements and is enriched with seaweed extract and humic acid. The NPK is 1.8-2.4-2.6 at a 2.5ml per litre dilution, it suits most species and hybrids in any growing medium, and it is approved by the Eric Young Orchid Foundation.

The Problem with Feeding Orchids Like Houseplants

Most general houseplant feeds are nitrogen heavy and often use urea or ammonium as the nitrogen source. On an orchid that pushes leaf at the expense of flower spikes, and the harsher nitrogen forms are unkind to aerial roots sitting in open bark. A dilute, nitrate-based bloom formula gives the plant the phosphorus and potassium it needs at spike time without the salt stress that shortens root life.

How to Use

• Dilute at 2.5ml per litre of water.
• Switch to Bloom as flower spikes begin to form.
• Water or dunk the pot, then let it drain fully - never leave roots standing.
• Feed regularly at this weak rate rather than occasionally at a strong one.
• Flush with plain water periodically to keep the medium free of salt build-up.
