Description
Odour control built on Australian RC412 activated carbon
Growing chillies, herbs and spices under lights produces strong smells that travel fast through a house. The Rhino Pro carbon filter tackles this at the extraction stage, scrubbing odour-laden air before it ever leaves your tent or room, and has been one of the best-regarded filters on the market for many years.
Stopping strong grow room smells escaping into the house
Rhino Pro filters are packed with Australian-mined RC412 carbon, among the best activated carbon available. The carbon is tightly packed and sealed into a high-efficiency airflow cylinder with a vortex cone in the base and a custom pore surface, giving maximum contact time between air and carbon. High-porosity carbon paired with a lightweight aluminium body keeps the filter compact and easy to mount compared with heavier steel alternatives.
Key Benefits
- RC412 Australian carbon - among the highest-grade activated carbon used for odour control
- Vortex cone design - drives air through the carbon bed for maximum transference
- Lightweight aluminium construction - easier to handle and hang than steel filters
- High-porosity, tightly packed bed - effective, long-lasting odour capture
- Full size range - matched to fans from small to large extraction setups
How to Use
- Fit inline with your extraction fan and ducting so air is scrubbed before it exhausts outside
- Match airflow rates of fan and filter - an under- or over-sized pairing weakens odour control and shortens the life of both
- Fit the pre-filter sleeve and replace it periodically to protect the carbon bed
- Support the filter's weight from the frame rather than letting ducting take the strain

Questions & answers
How long does a Rhino Pro last?
Up to two years.
How do I choose the right size?
Match the filter's airflow to your fan, as an under- or over-sized pairing weakens odour control and shortens the life of both. Sizes run from 4" (100mm, 350 m3/h) up to 14" (355mm, 3,600 m3/h).
How is it different from the Rhino Hobby?
Both use Australian RC412 carbon, but the Pro has a deeper 50mm carbon bed and a vortex cone base, and lasts up to two years rather than 9 to 12 months.
Does it come with a pre-filter?
Yes, a washable, replaceable pre-filter sleeve is included. Replace it periodically to protect the carbon bed.
How should I hang it?
Fit it in-line with your fan and ducting, and support its weight from the frame rather than letting the ducting carry it.
