Description
Stable bottom heat for stronger, faster-rooting cuttings
The X-Stream Heated Propagator from G.A.S is a professional propagation system combining a heated base with a humidity-retaining dome and optional digital thermostat to hold the warmth and humidity that germination and rooting depend on. Consistent bottom heat speeds root development and lifts strike rates, while even heat distribution removes hot and cold spots so every seedling or cutting develops uniformly. Available in two sizes for small batches or large runs headed for tents, hydroponic systems, coco or soil.
Key Benefits
- Heated base for faster germination and root development
- Optional digital thermostat, 5°C-30°C adjustable range
- Even heat distribution that prevents hot and cold spots
- Humidity dome with adjustable vents to lock in moisture, then harden off gradually
- High capacity: up to 150 plants (Small) or 450 plants (Large)
- Plug-and-play setup for reliable, repeatable propagation
Fixing slow rooting and weak seedlings at the propagation stage
Seeds and cuttings struggle to root when temperatures are too low or humidity fluctuates, which slows germination, weakens root systems and raises the risk of transplant shock later. The X-Stream's stable bottom heat keeps the root zone at the right temperature while the dome stops young plants drying out, producing strong seedlings with healthy roots ready for vigorous vegetative growth.
How to Use
- Place the propagator on a stable, raised surface for efficient heating.
- Fill the trays with your chosen medium, such as root cubes or jiffy pellets.
- Insert seeds or cuttings, then fit the humidity dome.
- On the thermostat model, connect it and set a target between 5°C and 30°C.
- Position the probe in the medium for root temperature, or in the air for ambient control.
- Open the vents gradually as plants develop to reduce humidity and harden off before transplanting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy the heated base on its own?
Yes. The Large Heated Base Only option is the Large base without a lid or thermostat, for replacing a damaged base or adding heat under a Large X-Stream lid you already own.
Should I set the air or the root temperature?
Either. Lay the thermostat probe on the base to control root-zone temperature, or suspend it through one of the vents to control air temperature. The maker notes the base, and so the roots, runs about 1-2°C warmer than the air.
What happens without a thermostat?
Without a thermostat the base simply heats continuously. The thermostat version lets you set anywhere from 5°C to 30°C and holds it there.
How many plants does the Large take?
Up to 450 seedlings or cuttings – the maker says it fits three full trays of propagation cubes.
