Description
Rigid-walled 19mm poly pipe for the main run of your irrigation
19mm LDPE Pipe is black low-density polyethylene irrigation pipe with a 19mm internal diameter, supplied as a 10 metre coil. LDPE is the standard supply pipe for drip and micro irrigation: it holds its round shape, resists sunlight and takes barbed fittings, drippers and take-off punches, so it suits the main line from pump or tap to a bank of drippers in a grow room, greenhouse or garden.
Key Benefits
- Holds its shape - the firmer wall will not collapse under clamps or when lying across the floor.
- Punch-and-plug friendly - drippers and 4mm take-offs can be inserted straight into the wall.
- Black LDPE blocks light, keeping algae out of the feed.
- Fits 19mm barbed fittings, nut and tail tap connectors and ratchet clamps.
Because LDPE is stiffer than flexi pipe, it works best in straight runs with elbows and tees at the corners rather than tight bends. That rigidity is what keeps pressure even along a long run, so the last dripper gets as much as the first.
How to Use
- Lay the coil in the sun or a warm room to soften it before uncoiling.
- Cut square; dip the end in hot water if a fitting is a tight push.
- Use 19mm barbed elbows at corners and fix the run with saddle clamps.
