Turn one air line into two without losing pressure
A simple T-shaped connector that takes 4mm airline on all three ports and splits a single feed into two branches. It is the part you reach for when you add another DWC pot, a second airstone in a reservoir or a spur off an irrigation run, and it saves buying a bigger pump when the existing one has capacity to spare. Moulded from rigid plastic, it pushes on firmly and holds a leak-free seal under continuous pump pressure. Small, cheap and worth keeping a handful of in the drawer.

The Problem with One Airline and Two Tanks
Air pumps almost always have more output than a single stone can use, but the outlet count is fixed. Growers end up running a second pump, or worse, moving one stone between reservoirs and leaving the other going stale. Dissolved oxygen falls, root zones turn sluggish and root rot gets its opening. A tee piece splits the flow you already have and keeps every reservoir aerated around the clock.
How to Use
- Cut the airline cleanly where you want the branch to start.
- Push both cut ends fully onto two ports of the tee.
- Run new tubing from the third port to the extra stone or pot.
- Fit a non-return valve on each branch if the pump sits below water level.
- Run the pump and check every joint for escaping air before walking away.
