Stopping Root Circling and Waterlogged Pots
In a rigid plastic pot, roots hit the wall and spiral into a root-bound mat that takes up water poorly and suffers transplant shock when moved on. In fabric, a root tip that meets air at the wall stops, and the plant branches out instead, building a fibrous root system through the whole medium for better nutrient uptake and healthier growth. How to Use
- Fill to the double stitch line with soil, coco or a soilless mix.
- Stand pots on a tray or saucer indoors; they drain through the base and sides.
- Water to a little runoff, then let the surface dry before watering again. Fabric dries faster than plastic, so check more often in warm weather.
